Exhibits Development Group (EDG) is dedicated to the development, production, marketing, and distribution of traveling museum exhibitions and cultural projects. The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes, one of EDG’s recent high-profile interactive exhibitions, has visitors step into Conan Doyle’s Victorian London and work side-by-side with his legendary detective as they try to solve a captivating mystery. The exhibition includes a dazzling array of original manuscripts, publications, period artifacts, film and television props and costumes and features hands-on education about the history of criminology and modern forensic science.
The 10,000-square-foot exhibition made its world premiere in 2013 to rave reviews from scientists, historians, museums, and journalists around the world, and is already booked by twelve museums in North America.
EDG required white glove exhibition services domestically and internationally for the length of the exhibition tour. It also required climate-controlled vans to transport portions of the exhibition. EDG needed a company that could act as a logistics partner, providing a vast network with specialized equipment and services, in addition to a project coordinator who would be in communication every step of the way.
Planes Specialized Logistics partnered with EDG to provide logistics services for the exhibit through 2015, ensuring painless and worry-free transport with its expert white glove service, climate-controlled trucks, and adept Logistics Coordinators.
